A VOLUNTEER'S PERSPECTIVE

– Hayley’s account of volunteering at Headway.

"I have been volunteering at Headway for 5 months.  I initially went there as I had to undertake a work placement for 21 days.  Once the time was up I had enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to stay on.  I have learnt so much from the causes of brain injury to watching an individual's improvement in 2 certain subjects area.  I have worked on a 1 to 1 basis with numerous clients and have learnt the improvement with each individual client.  I have built up memories that will last forever and have thoroughly enjoyed being a volunteer".
